New Design

My mother-in-law requested that I make her a case for her eyeglasses. I had never made a case for anything before, but I was up to the challenge! I designed a case by measuring my glasses and came out with a very nice, but slim, quilted case. So, I redesigned and came up with a slightly wider version: good for fat, grandma glasses. Not that my mother-in-law has fat, grandma glasses. I'm not sure what her glasses look like, really. They're reading glasses and I don't see them very often.I must say that I'm really loving these small projects I can finish in an evening or two. It feels so good to have something to show every day, not too mention using up all those fabric and batting scraps. With quilts, it just takes so long. But I still have love for the quilts - never fear. There will be more quilts to come...

GRAMMY Says:
I LOVE my new glasses case made by KC Quilt. But she forgot a most important piece of information: it MATCHES the quilted purse I have that she made! (Wait 'til you see photos of these stylish bags Katie Sue makes--and she can do matching wallets also!) I hope I will find the "fat grandmother case" in my Christmas stocking (hint, hint) because it also matches MY purse AND I have multiple pair of fat, skinny, regular and sun- glasses and thus often carry more than one pair of glasses with me. A little compulsive thing I have because anymore I cannot read anything without those darn glasses. When it comes to KC Quilts I can really get greedy.
