Lap Quilt in Progress

It's Friday, and that means it's time to look at a work in progress! This is going to be a lap quilt and looks entirely unremarkable at this stage in the game. Even the colors look blah because you are missing the ones that will make it POP.

I've been chugging along on this quilt all week. It's been difficult, because I am all about the embroidery right now and making 96 little triangles is not an appealing alternative. This is a departure from my usual scrappiness. Apparently, the scraps make my brain think that making a quilt is less tedious than it really is. For some reason, all the different fabrics are so much fun to look at that I don't realize that I'm actually making 96 versions of the same exact thing!

I think I need to get a book on CD from the library to make me want to spend more time in my sewing room. And a space heater. Our basement is freezing!
